Financing Option—Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC)
An ORC converts waste heat into mechanical energy to generate electricity.
We work with ICE Thermal Harvesting to provide the financing of an ORC system. ICE’s approach is to evaluate the application and determine what the client is currently paying for their electric costs. This rate can vary from 12 cents to 30 cents for a kilowatt hour. ICE will then propose to design, supply, and install an electrical generation system using ORC technology.
The client can then evaluate the benefits of having control over their own electrical generating requirements independent of the grid. The electric expense required to operate the plant is now paid to ICE in exchange for providing this onsite power generating technology.
